Long-term visa for remote workers

Foreign nationals who work for foreign companies in telework can now apply for a long-term visa that allows them and their families to stay in Iceland for up to six months.

Foreign nationals who do not need a visa to travel to Iceland can apply for such a permission to stay in Iceland. An applicant must demonstrate an employment relationship with a foreign company, income and health insurance.
